About the Author(s): Richard Carl Meehan, Jr - Hello, my name is Richard Carl Meehan, Jr. and I'm from Spartanburg, South Carolina. That's away down South, in other words. However, I bet you can't hear my accent too well from where you're sitting, so I'll just have to help you out some. Once in a while you'll read something like "Hi, y'all." I'll put the translation beside it. In this case it means, "How are you doing. Would you like some iced tea with sugar and lemon?" Or, maybe I'll write, "Jus' sit on down in that char right thar an' make yersef comfterble." These and other pleasantries mark the life of a good 'ole down to earth Southern Gentleman. Ahem...well...at least my neck ain't too red.
