During high school, she served as the Public Information Officer for the Army JROTC unit as well as editor of their monthly newsletter. She graduated from Highlands High School in 1982 and went on to major in Journalism at Texas A&M University. She has published several SF/F short stories and poems over the past few years. He does dishes, mows the lawn and keeps their coastal Maine cottage spotless by moving as little as possible. In a former life he was a newspaper copy boy, railroad telegraph operator, recording engineer and film editor. He spent the 60s and 70s as a Top-40 disc jockey.
